Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

He created the heavens and the earth in truth [8]. He wraps the night over the day and the day over the night, and He has subjected the sun and the moon, each running for an appointed term [9]. Behold! He is the Almighty [10], the All-Forgiving.

[8] That is, the earth, the heavens, or the universe have not been created without purpose; rather, there are countless wisdoms in them, and numerous objectives are being achieved through their creation.
[9]
Proofs of Tawheed in the Alternation of Night and Day:

That is, if one looks towards the west at evening time, it appears that darkness is rising upwards from that direction, gradually increasing until the black night prevails. Similarly, at morning time, light appears from the east, which gradually increases and spreads over the entire sky, and when the sun rises, the universe becomes illuminated. It appears as if night is being wrapped over the day and day over the night. The thing that brightens and maintains the day is the sun, and the moon gives light at night. This sun and this moon, since the time they were created, have been serving mankind, and humans derive countless benefits from these celestial bodies. However, this system of the sun and the moon is not eternal. A time will come when their arrangement will be folded up.
[10] Allah Almighty is mightier than everything in the universe and dominant over all of them, Who is making these gigantic bodies work according to His will. And He is mentioned here as Forgiving in the sense that, although mankind has caused turmoil and corruption in this world, which would demand that this system be disrupted and humans destroyed, yet He is acting with forgiveness and forbearance.
