Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

4. The disbelievers are amazed that a warner has come to them from among themselves [3], and the disbelievers say, “This is a magician [4], a great liar.”

[3]
The Real Wonder Would Have Been If the Prophet Was a Stranger or an Angel:

Their minds have become so hardened that a warner has come from among themselves, who knows their language and explains to them in their own tongue, yet they are astonished that a man just like them has become a Messenger. In reality, the real wonder would have been if a stranger had been sent among them as a Prophet, whose language they did not understand, nor did he understand theirs. Or if an angel had been sent as a Prophet over them, who would have broken their necks upon their denial.
[4] The disbelievers called you a magician in the sense that the Word of Allah you presented was so sweet and effective that whoever heard it would become devoted to you and remain yours, no matter how many difficulties he faced on this path. And they called you a liar because the teachings you presented were contrary to their beliefs. They were absolutely unwilling to consider that their beliefs could be wrong; instead, they would call you a liar.
