Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
22. When they came to David, he was startled by them. They said, "Do not be afraid. We are two parties in a dispute [26]; one of us has wronged the other. So judge between us with justice, do not be unjust, and guide us to the right path."
[25] One day he was engaged in worship, and this day was your day of worship. On this day, you would remain in seclusion, and the gatekeepers would not allow anyone to come to you. Suddenly, two people climbed over the wall and stood before you. Seeing this situation, Sayyiduna Dawudؑ became alarmed, wondering whether these were humans or some other creatures. If they were humans, how did they dare to come at this time? Why did the gatekeepers not stop them? For what intention and purpose did they climb such high walls? Witnessing this strange and terrifying incident all of a sudden, he became anxious. [26] The Two Persons Who Entered by Climbing the Wall and the Nature of the Case:
Most commentators believe that these were not humans but angels who came in human form, and Allah Almighty sent them to Sayyiduna Dawudؑ as a warning, as becomes clear from the following account. When they sensed his anxiety, they said that there was nothing to fear. There is a dispute between us two, so please judge between us with justice so that no party is wronged.
