99. And Abraham said: I am going to my Lord [54]; He will surely guide me.
[54] Migration Towards Syria:
When your father and your entire people became mortal enemies to you, you decided to leave your homeland, realizing that it was better to depart. At the time of departure, you did not even know where you were to go. You only said that you were setting out on migration for the sake of Allah. Where you should go, your Lord Himself would tell you and guide you. Thus, by Allah’s command, you were ordered to go towards Syria, and you set out in that direction along with your wife and your nephew or cousin, Sayyiduna Lut. Until that time, only Sayyiduna Lut had believed in you, and you had no children yet.
