Surah As-Saaffaat (37) — Ayah 93
فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًۢا بِٱلْيَمِينِ ﴿93﴾

Sayyiduna Ibrahimؑ Breaking the Idols:
Allah knows best how long Sayyiduna Ibrahimؑ had been waiting for such an opportunity. As soon as the people went off to celebrate the festival, he opened the door of the largest temple and entered it. Turning angrily towards the idols, he said, "Wretches! There are sweets and foods placed before you—why don't you eat them? Say something, at least give some answer!" What answer could these lifeless stones give? This made Sayyiduna Ibrahimؑ even angrier. He took an axe and began to strike all the idols to his heart's content. He smashed them all, but left the largest idol untouched, placing the axe on its shoulder so that it would appear as if this was the work of the big idol. Then he closed the door of the temple and came out.
