Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

The People of Ibrahim and the Festival of Nowruz:

When the sun entered the sign of Aries, this people would celebrate the festival of Nowruz on that day. Preparations for this picnic began with great enthusiasm. Early in the morning, people cooked delicious foods, ate some, and placed some as offerings before the idols in the temples. At the break of dawn, as they began to leave for the festival, they invited Sayyiduna Ibrahimؑ to join them and even insisted on taking him along. Sayyiduna Ibrahimؑ absolutely did not want to participate in their foolishness. Immediately, an idea came to him that suited the temperament of the people. He looked towards the stars and then said, "I am going to be ill today." According to their beliefs, the people considered this excuse reasonable and agreed to leave him behind.
