Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

62. (Tell me) Is this hospitality [36] better, or the tree of Zaqqum [37]?

[36] By such hospitality is meant the hospitality of the people of Paradise. As mentioned in the previous verses, their delicious food, pure and clean drink, and extremely beautiful women have been described, and the disbelievers of Makkah are being asked whether such hospitality for the people of Paradise is better or that of the people of Hell, which will be mentioned ahead.
[37] The food of the people of Paradise will be delicious fruits, and the food of the people of Hell will be the tree of Zaqqoom, whose leaves are broad and thorny. Its smell is foul and its taste is bitter. And from it, a white kind of liquid or milk comes out, which, if it touches a person's body, causes swelling.
