Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

Which Deeds are the Best?

In the following two hadiths, those deeds are mentioned which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared to be the best of deeds:
1. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah ؓ says that the Companions asked the Prophet ﷺ: "Which deed is the best?" He replied: "To have faith in Allah and His Messenger." The Companions asked: "Then which?" He said: "Jihad in the path of Allah." They asked: "After that, which one?" He said: "A Hajj that is accepted." [بخاری۔ کتاب الایمان۔ باب من قال ان الایمان ھو العمل]
2. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud ؓ says that I asked the Prophet ﷺ: "Which deed does Allah love the most?" He replied: "To perform prayer at its appointed time." I asked: "Then which deed?" He said: "To treat parents well." I asked: "Then which deed?" He said: "Jihad in the path of Allah." The Prophet ﷺ mentioned these three things; if I had asked further, he would have mentioned more.
