Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

[25] Three Harms and One Benefit of Wine:
The wine that is prepared in this world is made by fermenting and decaying certain specific fruits or grains. Such wine has three harms and one benefit. The harms are that after drinking it, it tastes bitter; secondly, it intoxicates the head, which sometimes causes dizziness; and thirdly, for this reason, a person starts speaking incoherently. And if the intoxication increases, he may commit various wrong acts. Speaking nonsense and engaging in indecent acts generally become inseparable from wine. Its benefit is that the drinker experiences a temporary sense of pleasure. The wine that will be given to the people of Paradise will be free from all the above-mentioned defects. However, in terms of its delicacy, purity, and taste, it will be far superior to the wines of this world.
