Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
173. And surely, it is Our army [96] that will be victorious.
[96] By Allah’s Dominance is Meant the Spiritual and Fundamental Dominance of the Religion:
By “Our army” can be meant the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his devoted believing companions. It can also refer to the angels whom Allah Almighty sent to help the believers in several battles, as well as those unseen forces that proved to be helpers of the believers. The meaning is that Allah Almighty has already decreed that, in the battle between truth and falsehood, He will help His prophets and the believers, and thus make the truth prevail. However, this dominance does not refer only to political dominance, because we see that at times the prophets and their followers were commanded to leave their place. Allah saved them from punishment and from the oppression and tyranny of the criminal nation, but they did not attain political dominance. In fact, sometimes the prophets were even killed. Rather, what is meant here is the dominance of moral values and the fundamental principles of the religion. Thus, we see that the nations who opposed the truth were ultimately destroyed and ruined. The philosophies of ignorance and misguidance that people invented, and the corrupt ways of life that were forcibly imposed, all, after showing their strength for a time, eventually died their own death. But the realities that Allah’s prophets have been presenting as truth and reality for thousands of years have always been unshakeable, and remain so today. No one has been able to move them from their place.
