Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
121. Thus do We reward the doers of good [71].
[71] That is, these two prophets also made countless sacrifices in the path of truth. By Allah’s command, they risked their lives and went to a tyrant and oppressive ruler like Pharaoh. Moreover, Sayyiduna Musa ؑ himself was considered a criminal by them. Then, after inviting Pharaoh to monotheism, the demand they made was also one that would infuriate him, and that was to set the Children of Israel free from his slavery and send them along with them. After the deliverance of the Children of Israel, they made every possible effort to reform this corrupted nation. As a reward for such deeds, We granted them that they would be remembered with goodness for all time to come. Thus, the Jews, Christians, and Muslims are the largest communities, and all of them regard Sayyiduna Musa ؑ as a true prophet and spiritual leader.
