Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
110. Thus do We reward the doers of good [65].
[65] It is very difficult to express the translation of ﴿مُحْسِنِيْنَ﴾ in Urdu in just a word or two. Therefore, it is generally translated as "the doer of good" or "the righteous." The actual meaning of ﴿إحْسَانٌ﴾ is to perform a task in the best possible manner. As is made clear from the Hadith of Jibreel ؑ, when Sayyiduna Jibreel asked him what Ihsan is, you ﷺ replied: "That you worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot achieve this state, then at least know that He sees you." [متفق عليه]
And there are at least three things necessary in Ihsan: (1) Whatever work is done, it should be done with complete sincerity and for the pleasure of Allah. (2) The fulfillment of the command should not be merely out of obedience, but the love for the One who commands should also be present. (3) The manners and pillars of the work should be performed in the best possible way.
And since Sayyiduna Ibrahim ؑ performed every deed with Ihsan, Allah rewarded him in two ways in this world: first, that prayers of peace will continue to be made for him as long as the world remains, as we pray for blessings and peace upon Sayyiduna Ibrahim ؑ and his family along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in every prayer; and second, that most religions accept him as their spiritual leader, feel proud to be associated with him, and mention him only in good words.
