وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ ﴿2﴾
By the Qur’ân, full of wisdom (i.e. full of laws, evidence, and proofs),
وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ wal-qur'āni By the Quran
ٱلْحَكِيمِ l-ḥakīmi the Wise

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

The Revelation of the Quran is the Greatest Proof of Your Prophethood:

The "waw" here is for oath, and an oath serves as a substitute for testimony. In the case of li‘an, the oaths that are taken serve as a substitute for testimonies. The meaning of these three brief verses is that this Quran, filled with wisdom, is a strong testimony to the following: (1) You are indeed the Messenger of Allah, and (2) you are upon the straight path. And the testimony is that you were unlettered; you had never sat before any teacher as a student, nor could you read or write. Before prophethood, you had never presented any such speech or anything similar to it that could give rise to the suspicion that perhaps this ability was inherent in your nature, and that this ability kept developing until you became capable of presenting such speech. All these things were personally known to the disbelievers of Makkah. Then, at the age of forty, for such speech to suddenly flow from your tongue, which rendered all the eloquent and articulate Arabs speechless in comparison, and despite repeated challenges, they were unable to produce anything like it, it was clearly evident that this speech could not be yours ﷺ, but could only be from a Being who is supernatural, Wise, and All-Aware. Thus, the very revelation of such speech simultaneously provides strong testimony to several matters, for example:
(1) The existence of Allah Almighty, and that this speech can only be from Him.
(2) That you are undoubtedly the Messenger of Allah.
(3) As a necessary result of these two points, the way of life you present is the only straight path for humanity; it contains neither excess nor deficiency.
(4) That all kinds of doubts and suspicions of the Quraysh of Makkah are baseless and false, such as when they would say that he has fabricated this himself, or that he is lying against Allah, or that someone else is teaching him, and so on.
