Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

5. O people! Surely Allah’s promise is true, so let not the life of this world deceive you [8], nor let the deceiver [9] (Satan) deceive you concerning Allah.

[8] That is, do not become so absorbed and immersed in the wealth and riches of the world, its comforts and luxuries, its allurements and attractions, that you forget your end. With Allah, there will be questioning about every blessing—whether you were grateful for it or ungrateful. Also, nothing in this world has been created without purpose. Every action has its own consequence. And you cannot escape its reckoning. Therefore, do not be deceived into thinking that life is nothing but this worldly life. All your deeds are being recorded, and you will have to face their consequences in the next life. This is Allah’s promise, and this is His law of recompense, which can never be contravened.

Satan Deceiving People in the Name of Allah:

Ghuroor means a great deceiver, and this is Satan. He keeps deceiving man regarding Allah Himself. First of all, he deceives people about the very existence of Allah, and those who fall for his deception become deniers of Allah’s existence. And those who escape this deception of Satan, he then suggests to them ways of associating many other beings with Allah’s attributes, and in every era, he invents new ways. Some people worship the manifestations of the universe, some worship angels, some jinn, some rely on the saints of Allah and their graves. In every era, Satan keeps suggesting new arguments to justify shirk. Then, those who escape even this deception, he keeps teaching them that even if you commit this sin, Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful, or that there is still much life left; you will repent later. In this way, Satan makes people fearless of Allah and His punishment, and emboldens them in sin.
