Have they not travelled in the land, and seen what was the end of those before them - though they were superior to them in power? Allâh is not such that anything in the heavens or in the earth escapes Him. Verily, He is All-Knowing, All-Omnipotent.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

44. Have they not traveled through the land and seen the outcome of those before them, who were even stronger [51] than they are? And nothing in the heavens or the earth can frustrate Allah the Exalted. Surely, He is All-Knowing, All-Powerful.

[51] If the Quraysh of Makkah have not previously looked at the ruins of the earlier nations with this perspective, then let them go and see now. Even from their ruins, it will become clear that these people, in their own times, surpassed the Quraysh of Makkah in glory, power, authority, and luxury. Then, when they adopted this rebellious attitude, Allah the Exalted crushed them completely. At that time, neither their glory nor their power and authority availed them anything against Allah the Exalted. So do you think that with your hostile attitude and secret conspiracies, you will be able to block the path of Allah the Exalted’s religion? How will you escape His grasp when He knows your every move and also has the power to punish you?
