Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
33. They will enter gardens of everlasting bliss, where they will be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls [38], and their garments there will be of silk.
[38] Among the nawabs, kings, and maharajas, it was customary for them to wear gold bracelets inlaid with diamonds and other precious stones. They would also wear soft and delicate silk garments. This was considered the height of luxury and pleasure that could be imagined in this world. That is why these things are mentioned. The purpose is to show that the clothing and luxuries of the people of Paradise will be no less than those of the kings and rulers of this world. Gold and silk have been made forbidden for the men of the Muslim Ummah in this world, in which countless wisdoms are hidden. The greatest and most understandable reason is that those who indulge in such luxuries and begin to spend on themselves in this way, how can they care for the poor? These very things become the cause of class division and, beyond that, a great trial and corruption. However, in Paradise, since there will be no possibility of such evils, these things will be permissible there.
