Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(The inevitable result was) that Allah may punish the hypocrite men and women, and the polytheist men and women, and turn in mercy [112] to the believing men and women. And Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[112] The inevitable result of granting man the power of will and choice could have been that some people would misuse this choice, while others would use it correctly. Then, since man also proved to be unjust and ignorant, therefore, those who misuse this will and choice turned out to be far more numerous, and those who used it correctly were very few in comparison. And the second result was that those who misused it—namely the polytheists, disbelievers, and hypocrites—would be punished for their deeds, and those who, feeling the weight of this responsibility, shaped their way of life according to Allah’s will, would be given a good reward for it.
