Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
46. And as one who invites to Allah by His permission, and as a shining [74] lamp.
[74] In this material world or universe, Allah Almighty has called the sun "Siraj" (lamp) [سورة نوح : 16], probably because the moon and stars receive their light indirectly from this sun. And in the spiritual world, Allah Almighty has bestowed upon you ﷺ the title of "Siraj Munir" (radiant lamp). In other words, you ﷺ are the sun of prophethood; after your rising, there is no longer any need for another source of light. Now every person must seek guidance for every aspect of life from this sun of prophethood and guidance.
