Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

He manages every affair from the heaven to the earth. Then, in a Day whose measure is a thousand years by your counting, that affair [6] will ascend to Him.

Allah hands over the thousand-year program to the administrators of affairs, which also includes punishment for a nation:

The form of His creative acts is such that when He intends to do something or makes a scheme, He informs the angels appointed over the management of affairs. They descend according to Allah’s command. All apparent and hidden means, whether related to the earth or the heavens, all come together by themselves and engage in the completion of that task out of respect. And when this task is completed in a day, the angels present its report before Allah. And this one day, according to the reckoning of the people of the world, is a period of one thousand years. It is as if Allah gives the angels a thousand-year program. When all the tasks are accomplished, then the next thousand-year program is handed over to the angels who manage affairs. In fact, in this verse, the answer is being given to the objection of those polytheists who insisted on this and kept saying to the prophets: Why does the punishment you threaten us with not come? Or why don’t you bring it upon us right now? The answer is that in this thousand-year program, the program for punishment to come upon a nation is also included. And it comes at its appointed time according to the program; there is neither advancement nor delay in it, nor is it possible that the punishment destined for a nation does not come upon it. But the real point is that Allah brings all His works into effect according to a well-thought-out program. Your hastening or not hastening will have no benefit or effect.
