The Prostration · Meccan · Juz 21 · Page 417

Is it not a guidance for them: how many generations We have destroyed before them in whose dwellings they do walk about? Verily, therein indeed are signs. Would they not then listen?

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

26. Has it not guided them that We destroyed many generations before them, in whose dwellings they now walk? Surely, there are many signs in this. Do they not listen [28]?

[28] The people of 'Ad, Thamud, and Shu'aib were all nations related to the Arabs. All of them were destroyed, and the people of Arabia would see their ruins with their own eyes and would also hear about the circumstances of these nations from their elders. Yet, they would not take any lesson from them.
