سُوْرَةُ الرُّوْمِ
Surah Ar-Room (30) — Ayah 48
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى يُرْسِلُ ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَابًا فَيَبْسُطُهُۥ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ يَشَآءُ وَيَجْعَلُهُۥ كِسَفًا فَتَرَى ٱلْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلَـٰلِهِۦ ۖ فَإِذَآ أَصَابَ بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦٓ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ ﴿48﴾

Allâh is He Who sends the winds, so that they raise clouds, and spread them along the sky as He wills, and then break them into fragments, until you see rain drops come forth from their midst! Then when He has made them fall on whom of His slaves as He wills, lo, they rejoice!

Allah is the One who sends the winds, so they raise the clouds. Then He spreads them in the sky as He wills, and makes them into fragments, and you see the rain coming forth from within them. Then, when He causes it to fall upon whom He wills of His servants [56], they rejoice.

Allah’s Powers and Wisdoms in the Process of Rainfall:
In this single verse, Allah Almighty has mentioned many of His signs. For example, the wind, which cannot even bear the weight of a pebble and the pebble falls to the ground, yet this wind carries water vapors on its shoulders like pieces of paper. Those water vapors in which millions of tons of water are present. And the estimate of this weight can be made from the area of land over which this rain falls and how many inches of rain occurred. Secondly, the direction of these load-bearing winds is not naturally fixed, but Allah Almighty turns them however He wills, so rain falls wherever He wants and not in another area. Thirdly, when these clouds reach such a cold atmospheric region that can convert water vapors back into water, even then, all the water in the clouds does not fall to the earth at once, but falls drop by drop. Even if the cold is intense, those drops fall as hailstones. It does not happen that due to excessive cold, all the water turns into water at once and falls in one place at one time. And in this, there are many wisdoms of Allah.
The Pleasant Results of Rain:
Before the rain, the condition of the earth was such that dust was flying everywhere. There was dust and dirt on the leaves of the trees. When it rains, the trees are washed clean. The earth begins to flourish, as if it has received new life. Then, many kinds of living beings are also born in the rain and begin to make sounds and move about. A spring arrives, which delights the hearts, and at the same time, the means of sustenance for all creatures also become available. And the human being, who before the rain was a victim of despair, becomes happy again and begins to rejoice and exult.
