Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

So that He may reward those who believe and do righteous deeds out of His mercy [53]. Surely, He does not like the disbelievers.

Entry into Paradise Will Not Be on the Basis of Deservedness, But Only by Allah’s Grace:

Even the believers and righteous people will not enter Paradise on the basis of any deservedness, but only by Allah’s grace, that is, as a reward beyond the actual recompense. Because if a person in the world expressed gratitude to Allah or lived as His obedient servant, even that does not fulfill the repayment of Allah’s previous favors—so how could there be more? This reward Allah, the Exalted, will give to His servants only because whatever deeds they did, they did for Allah’s pleasure, and Allah, being pleased with them, will grant them extra reward in the form of Paradise purely out of His kindness. Thus, Hazrat Abu Hurairah ؓ narrates that the Prophet ﷺ said: “No one’s deeds will take him to Paradise.” The Companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! Not even your deeds? (Will your deeds not take you to Paradise?) He ﷺ replied: “Yes, not even my deeds will take me to Paradise, unless Allah covers me with His grace and mercy.” [بخاری۔ کتاب المرضی۔ باب تمنی المریض الموت]
