Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

74. He singles out for His mercy [65] whomever He wills, and He is the possessor of great bounty.

[65] Allah Almighty responded to all their efforts and mischief in this way: Indeed, there was a time when Allah granted you honor and dignity over all the worlds. But now, due to your continuous mischief and breaches of trust, you are no longer worthy of it. Allah is the Owner of grace and honor, and now He has granted it to whomever He deemed appropriate and deserving. You are not the custodians of grace and honor. Allah Almighty is not narrow-minded like you, that He would not bestow grace and honor upon those who are worthy of it; rather, He is very broad-minded. He knows everything and He alone is the Bestower of grace and honor, and He knows very well that you are no longer worthy of that honor and dignity.
