Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

51. So fear Allah and obey me. Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so [50] worship Him alone. This is the straight path."

[50] From these verses it is understood that the message of Prophet Isa (Jesus) ؑ was exactly the same as that of all the other prophets. For example:
1. The Lord, that is, the Supreme Authority, is only Allah. Therefore, He alone is worthy of worship. In this regard, the Christian belief in the divinity of the Messiah is proven to be incorrect.
2. The Prophet should be obeyed as the representative of Allah, and this has been the message of every prophet.
3. The authority to declare things lawful or unlawful, and to determine what is permissible or impermissible, belongs only to Allah. Therefore, the things you have declared forbidden upon yourselves, I, by Allah’s command, declare them lawful and free you from such illegitimate restrictions. Also, by Allah’s command, he greatly reduced the restrictions of the Sabbath day imposed upon the Jews. However, the Jews could not be reformed, and they continued to advance in their enmity towards Prophet Isa (Jesus) ؑ.
