Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

160. If Allah helps you, none can overcome you [155]. But if He forsakes you [156], who is there after Him that can help you? So in Allah let the believers put their trust.

[155] Just as in the field of Badr, Allah helped the Muslims in many ways. In the same way, today at Uhud, He can help you and make you victorious, provided that you remain obedient to Allah and strive wholeheartedly for the elevation of the religion of Islam.

[156] Just as happened for a while in the Battle of Uhud, and the reason for it was disobedience to the Messenger of Allah. In this verse, it is being explained that trust can only be placed in the One who is the most powerful, dominant over all means, and the ruler over everything, and since such a being is only Allah, therefore, He alone is worthy of trust.
