Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
And those who strive in Our cause—We will surely guide them to Our ways [101]. And indeed, Allah is with those who do good.
[101] To Whom Does Allah Open His Paths? The Opening of Allah’s Paths Through Sincerity in Striving:
That is, a person’s duty is to set out on Allah’s path with utmost sincerity. What kinds of difficulties may arise on this path, and what their solutions might be, are beyond human capacity to fully comprehend, because neither can one accurately anticipate the challenges beforehand, nor can human planning avail anything against Allah’s decree. A person’s duty is to strive to the best of his ability for the exaltation of Allah’s word, and the essential condition for this is seeking only Allah’s pleasure and having sincerity of intention. With this condition, if any individual or group sets out for any kind of striving (jihad), then Allah Himself will show them the solutions to the difficulties that arise on this path. If there is sincerity and pure intention, the paths will open up by themselves, and Allah will continue to grant support and help. The reason for this is that Allah Himself is with those who do good; He guides them to the paths, opens them, and comes to their aid at the right time. A person’s duty is to keep moving forward with patience, steadfastness, and sincerity. It should be clear that here, jihad does not refer only to fighting in the way of Allah, but includes all types of striving, the details of which have been given elsewhere.
