Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

31. And when Our messengers [48] brought Abraham the good news (of Isaac), they said, "We are going to destroy the people of this town (Sodom), for its inhabitants are wrongdoers."

[48] Allah Almighty accepted the prayer of Prophet Lutؑ. And to destroy the settlement of this wicked nation and to grant deliverance to Prophet Lutؑ, He sent His angels. First, these angels came in human form to Prophet Ibrahimؑ. Prophet Ibrahimؑ brought a roasted calf for their hospitality. But when these newly arrived guests did not even reach out towards the food, Prophet Ibrahimؑ felt afraid in his heart. Then, when the angels informed him that they were angels and had come to give him the glad tidings of a son, Prophet Ibrahimؑ's fear went away. And this incident has been mentioned in detail at several places.
