سُوْرَةُ الْقَصَصِ
Surah Al-Qasas (28) — Ayah 65
وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَآ أَجَبْتُمُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿65﴾

And (remember) the Day (Allâh) will call to them, and say: "What answer gave you to the Messengers?"

That is, the matter was not just that both the worshippers and the worshipped were going astray by following their desires.
