And it will be said (to them): "Call upon your (so-called) partners (of Allâh)", and they will call upon them, but they will give no answer to them, and they will see the torment. (They will then wish) if only they had been guided!

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

And it will be said to them: "Now call upon your partners (for help)." So they will call upon them, but they will not respond [88] to them, and they will all see the punishment. If only they had been guided!

The First Question to the Polytheists Will Be About Shirk, and the Second About Messengership:

After these deities present their excuse, Allah Almighty will again say to the polytheists: Even today, call upon your deities for help. But those deities, who have already declared their disassociation from them, will not be able to give them any answer. The real reason for this will be that both the worshippers and the worshipped will be seeing their own end. At that moment, all these individuals will cry out in deep regret: Alas! If only we had chosen the path of guidance in the world.
