And (remember) the Day when He will call to them and say: "Where are My (so-called) partners whom you used to assert?"

62. On the Day when Allah will call them and say, "Where are those whom you claimed as My partners [85]?"
[85] The Fifth Answer to the Objection:
This verse also pertains to the polytheists of Makkah, who wished to cling to polytheism and idols for worldly interests. They are being informed of the consequences of their deeds. On the Day of Resurrection, Allah Almighty will ask such polytheists: You used to think that these worldly benefits were being given to you because of My partners. Now tell Me, where are they today, so that they may benefit you today as well. If today they can benefit you in any way, then consider that they were also benefiting you in the world, and if they cannot benefit you at all, then the reality will become clear to you.
