وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمْ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ ﴿74﴾
And verily, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they reveal.
وَإِنَّ wa-inna And indeed
رَبَّكَ rabbaka your Lord
لَيَعْلَمُ layaʿlamu surely knows

صُدُورُهُمْ ṣudūruhum their breasts

And indeed, your Lord knows well what their hearts conceal and what they reveal. [78]

[78] Their verbal demand is why the punishment does not come quickly. But the motives behind this demand, and what they harbor in their hearts and understand within themselves, they do not express these things before you. Allah knows well the hidden malice and impure intentions in their hearts.
