Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
45. And We sent to the Thamud their brother Salih (with this message): "Worship Allah." But at once they became two disputing parties [45] (believers and disbelievers).
[45] And this matter is not exclusive to Salih ؑ alone, but rather, this is what happens with the call of every prophet: some just, socially discontented, and oppressed types of people respond to the prophet’s call. And the influential, affluent, and powerful people become the enemies of the prophet. Then a conflict arises between them, and the battle between truth and falsehood begins. This very situation also occurred among the people of Thamud.
