قَالَتْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ أَفْتُونِى فِىٓ أَمْرِى مَا كُنتُ قَاطِعَةً أَمْرًا حَتَّىٰ تَشْهَدُونِ ﴿32﴾
She said: "O chiefs! Advise me in (this) case of mine. I decide no case till you are present with me (and give me your opinions)."
قَالَتْ qālat She said
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا yāayyuhā O
ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ l-mala-u chiefs
أَفْتُونِى aftūnī Advise me
فِىٓ in
أَمْرِى amrī my affair
مَا Not
كُنتُ kuntu I would be
قَاطِعَةً qāṭiʿatan the one to decide
أَمْرًا amran any matter
حَتَّىٰ ḥattā until
تَشْهَدُونِ tashhadūni you are present with me
