My Lord! Bestow Hukm (religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) on me, and join me with the righteous.

83. (After this, Abraham prayed:) "My Lord! Grant me wisdom and join me with the righteous [59].
[59] After mentioning the above attributes of Allah Almighty, Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) turns to Allah in supplication. His first prayer is: O Allah, grant me sound judgment and religious insight, increase me in knowledge, and grant me the company of righteous people, both in this world and in the Hereafter. Everyone knows how much pain and mental anguish a fortunate and virtuous person feels if he gets trapped in bad company in this world. Therefore, everyone should strive and also keep praying to be blessed with the companionship of righteous people. And in the Hereafter, Allah Almighty will surely unite the righteous with the righteous. However, one should always pray for this blessing. Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) also made such a prayer, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ also made this prayer at the time of his passing. ﴿اللهم الرفيق الاعلي﴾
