Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
Pharaoh replied, "Yes (there will be a reward), and you will also be given positions [32] among us."
[32] The Comparison Between the Character of a Prophet and a Magician:
Before the appointed time, when all the magicians from the surrounding areas had arrived at the capital, they collectively asked Pharaoh: If we succeed, will we receive any compensation or reward? This question from the magicians reveals their mentality: whatever they do, they do as a means of livelihood. They have no higher purpose than this. In contrast, a prophet is completely indifferent to people's compensation; he selflessly fulfills his duty solely for the pleasure of Allah. At that time, Pharaoh was in a desperate situation. In response to the magicians' question, he immediately said: Why are you only talking about rewards and honors? If you succeed, I will not only give you rewards and honors, but I will also grant you high positions and you will be among my close associates.
