Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
223. Who listen eagerly (to the devils), and most of them are liars [133].
[133] The Foundation of Soothsaying is Pure Falsehood:
That is, the sources of information for such soothsayer-type people are extremely deficient. And this verse has two meanings: one is that the devils eavesdrop towards the higher assembly, and if they manage to hear a word or two, they mix it with a hundred lies and convey it to the soothsayers; and the second is that the soothsayers themselves keep listening to the devils. Then, when a devil inspires something to a soothsayer, the soothsayer mixes it with a hundred lies and tells it to the people. Thus, the foundation of their business is entirely based on falsehood.
