Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

Except for an old woman who was among those who stayed behind [102].

The Role of the Wife of Sayyiduna Lut ؑ:

The wife of Prophet Lut ؑ was secretly allied with these shameless people. Whenever a guest would come to his house, she would secretly report to these people through hints and gestures. Thus, when the angels who were to bring punishment upon this nation came to Prophet Lut ؑ in the form of handsome boys, it was on the report of this old woman that the shameless neighbors from around broke into his house with evil intentions. Therefore, this woman was in no way deserving of salvation.
