Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

146. Will you be left secure here amidst all these luxuries [91]?

The Preaching of Sayyiduna Salih (peace be upon him) to His People:

The region of the people of Thamud was situated at the foothills of mountains. The valleys were fertile. There were sweet water springs everywhere. There were abundant fields and gardens, in which various kinds of fruits and high-quality dates were produced. And when they carved houses out of the mountains, they did not do so merely to fulfill the need for residence, but everyone wanted to surpass the other in building the most beautiful and grand houses, and their purpose in this was to display their luxury and grandeur. Prophet Salih (peace be upon him) asked them, what do you think, will death never come to you that you have become so enamored with the world and have completely forgotten your Lord? If Allah has given you these blessings, then due to your ingratitude, He can also take them away from you. Therefore, fear Allah and His punishment, and if you desire a good end, then act upon the path I have shown you.
