Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

[86] In response to this admonition, this rebellious nation said that we have also been hearing such things. Some people used to claim prophethood and say such things that Allah's punishment would come upon you, and the cycle of life and death has continued before them, continued after them, and will continue in the future as well. Therefore, such admonitions are useless for us. We do not believe in these things.
What is Fundamentalism?
Imam Bukhari has interpreted 'khuluq' (customs) to mean 'deen' (religion) in ﴿خُلُقُالْأَوَّلِينَ﴾[بخاري۔ كتاب التفسير۔ زير تفسير روم] In this regard, it would mean that this is the religion of the old people. The old people used to say such things. But now the era of such old-fashioned people has passed. In the present age, the term "fundamentalist" has been coined for such people. That is, those people who strictly adhere to the teachings of their Prophet in their beliefs and actions, and consider the new enlightenment or new civilization as old ignorance.
