Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

135. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous Day [85].

[85] Then Hud (peace be upon him) mentioned each and every favor of Allah upon them and said that you should have shown gratitude for Allah's blessings, not associated anyone with Him, and become obedient servants of His. But instead, you have spread corruption. Therefore, fear Allah's grip and His punishment, for the path you have chosen will inevitably result in Allah's punishment coming upon you. ﴿عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ﴾ may refer to the day when punishment descended upon this nation, or to the punishment of the Day of Judgment, or to both types of punishment.
