Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

They said, "O Noah! If you do not desist, you will surely be stoned [78]."

The Literal Meaning of ﴿رَجَمَ﴾:

The word "min al-marjumīn" also has two meanings. ﴿رجم﴾ means to throw stones, pebbles, etc., from a distance and to kill or stone to death, and this meaning is mentioned in the translation. Then, this word is used both in the physical and metaphorical sense. "Rajīm" and "marjūm" refer to a person or thing upon whom curse and condemnation are continuously sent. That is, the chiefs of the people of Noah said to Prophet Noah ؑ that if you do not desist from your preaching and invitation, then curse and condemnation will continue to be sent upon you from all sides.
