Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

[70] The Reward for the Effort of the Prophets?
In the context of the prophets’ invitation and the disbelievers’ rejection, this statement from the prophets as a response is mentioned at several places in the Quran. There are two aspects to this response. One is that if you do not like my work of inviting towards Allah, it is not as if I am taking any compensation or salary from you that you could stop it and I would abandon my work, nor do I have any such demand from you. Therefore, whether you like this work or not, I will continue to do my work. The second aspect is that I am inviting you to the straight path with complete sincerity and selflessness for your own good, and I do not take anything from you; rather, I hear mockery and ridicule from you and endure hardships, yet you do not even consider that at the very least you should reflect a little on what I am saying. The next part of this verse supports this aspect or meaning, that is, if Allah wills and even a single person among you is guided, I will consider that I have received the reward or compensation for my effort.
