Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
And (O Prophet) We have only sent you as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner [69].
[69] The Nature of Your Responsibility Towards Disbelievers and Muslims:
That is, it is not your ﷺ duty to force people to the right path. Nor is it your task to punish those who do not believe or to provide financial assistance to those who do believe. Rather, your responsibility is only to present the invitation of Islam before all people, to warn the deniers of the truth about their evil end, and to give glad tidings of the reward for righteous deeds to the believers. That is all that is required of you. It should be clear that such an address to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is only to the extent of inviting the disbelievers. Otherwise, for those who have believed, the Prophet’s duty is not just to give them glad tidings of their righteous deeds. Rather, their education, their training, and the purification of their souls are all included in your responsibilities, and the Noble Quran has mentioned this subject at four different places, and there are four responsibilities of yours towards the Muslims. For example, that you recite to them the verses of the Quran, purify their souls, teach them the Book, and teach them wisdom. [For further explanation, see 2:129, 2:151, 3:164]
