سُوْرَةُ الْفُرْقَانِ
Surah Al-Furqaan (25) — Ayah 55
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلْكَافِرُ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ ظَهِيرًا ﴿55﴾

And they (disbelievers, polytheists) worship besides Allâh that which can neither profit them nor harm them; and the disbeliever is ever a helper (of the Satan) against his Lord.

Yet they worship besides Allah things that can neither benefit nor harm them, and the disbeliever is ever an ally [68] against his Lord.
[68] The work of a disbeliever is that whenever and wherever the work of exalting the word of Allah begins, he becomes determined to oppose it. His moral, verbal, financial, and physical sympathies are always with those who are obstructing the establishment of Allah’s religion. It never occurs to him that the means of his life and its preservation are being provided by Allah Almighty in astonishing ways. Therefore, he should live as an obedient servant of that very Allah Almighty. Instead, he becomes involved in every action and conspiracy that consists of disobedience to Allah, and begins to worship and obey those things which do not even have control over their own benefit or harm.
