Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
And He it is Who created man from water (a drop of fluid), then made for him bonds of lineage and marriage [67], and your Lord is All-Powerful.
[67] The Creation of Man and Woman from a Drop of Fluid, and Allah’s Astonishing Decree in Their Physical Structure and Function:
That is, is it any less than a marvel of Allah’s power that He created a being possessing such astonishing machinery as the human, from a single drop of water? Furthermore, the child that is born is then divided into different types. Sometimes a boy is born, and sometimes a girl. Both are equal in terms of being human, but in their physical structure and characteristics, they differ from each other in many aspects. However, despite this difference, both together fulfill the same purpose, which is the continuation of the human race. From the union of these two types, thousands of men and women are born in the world. Then, based on this difference, two kinds of relationships are formed. One is where women come as daughters-in-law, and this is a blood relationship, such as son, grandson, great-grandson, etc. The other is where our daughters, granddaughters, etc., go as daughters-in-law, and these are in-law relationships. Then, from the mutual relations of these two types of relationships, the whole society is connected, and a similar civilization comes into existence. When a child is born, the only difference in the physical structure of a boy and a girl is in their private parts, by which we distinguish whether the newborn is a boy or a girl. Then, some differences become apparent at puberty, such as a boy experiencing nocturnal emission and the growth of beard and mustache hair, and girls beginning menstruation and the development of breasts. Then, there are some matters related to the establishment of pregnancy, such as the flow of milk in a woman’s breasts, because until pregnancy is established, milk is not produced. Then, upon the decline of youth, menstruation in women ceases on its own, and the production of semen in men also stops on its own, and the sexual desires of both begin to subside, and these are such fixed laws of nature that are never violated. Reflecting on these matters, one cannot help but say that Allah has full power over whatever function He intends for a thing to perform.
