Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

37. And when the people of Noah denied the messengers [48], We drowned them and made them a sign [49] for all people. And We have prepared a painful punishment for the wrongdoers.

[48] From this it is understood that messengers had come to the people of Noah even before Prophet Noah ؑ, whose names are not mentioned in the Quran, or it could also mean that since the teachings of all prophets regarding the fundamentals of religion have been the same, therefore, by denying one messenger, it is as if all the other messengers have also been denied.
[49] A sign in the sense that the progeny of these wrongdoers was completely wiped out from the face of the earth. After the flood of Noah, the progeny of Adam ؑ continued only through those who were aboard the ark with Prophet Noah ؑ, and according to some, the future generations came from the three sons of Prophet Noah ؑ: Ham, Shem, and Japheth.
