Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
35. And We gave Moses the Book [46], and made his brother Aaron a helper for him.
[46] Here, "the Book" does not refer to the Torah, because the Torah was given to Hazrat Musa ؑ when he was summoned to Mount Sinai, at a time when the Children of Israel were residing in the wilderness of Tih. Rather, it refers to those divinely revealed instructions and commands that were given to him before the exodus from Egypt. Such divinely revealed guidance is, in technical terms, also called "wahy khafi" (hidden revelation) or Sunnah, and such commands can be referred to as the Book of Allah, as is evident from this verse. Acting upon such revelation or Sunnah is just as obligatory as acting upon "wahy jali" (clear revelation), "wahy matlu" (recited revelation), or the Book of Allah.
