And those who disbelieve say: "Why is not the Qur’ân revealed to him all at once?" Thus (it is sent down in parts), that We may strengthen your heart thereby. And We have revealed it to you gradually, in stages. (It was revealed to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in 23 years.).

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

32. And those who disbelieve say: "Why was the Qur’an not sent down to him all at once [43]?" It is so that We may strengthen your heart thereby, and We have revealed it gradually, in stages.

The Disbelievers’ Objection: Why Was the Quran Not Revealed All at Once?

The words of the disbelievers’ objection were as stated, but by these words they actually meant something else: that this Prophet, as circumstances arise, composes the Quran along with them. Otherwise, Allah already knows all future circumstances. If the Quran had truly been revealed from Allah, then all kinds of rulings for every circumstance could have been revealed at once. By making this objection, they were in fact denying Allah, His Messenger, and His Quran, and fabricating lies against them all.
