Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
31. And thus (O Prophet), We have made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals [41]. But your Lord is sufficient as a Guide and Helper [42].
[41] That is, the purpose of the Prophet’s sending is that people obey the Messenger. Now, those who are already established as leaders, how can they tolerate that those who were previously their followers and obedient ones, leave them or begin to obey someone else along with them? In other words, the well-off people of society or those who, in one way or another, have influence and dominance over the masses, consider this Prophet as their rival and rise up in opposition to him. The Quran, at some places, has mentioned such criminals with the word "mutrafeen" and at other places with the word "mala’." And since the number of such people is considerable, the Prophet’s call is, in fact, akin to disturbing a hornet’s nest. The battle between truth and falsehood begins right at the start of the call, and these bloodthirsty dogs of the world stand up, chest out, in opposition to the Prophet.
[42] That is, in this battle between truth and falsehood, as circumstances take different turns, Allah Himself continues to give guidance to His Prophet and his followers about what they should do now and what the next step should be. Then He does not suffice with only guidance and commands, but also helps the believers against the powerful group of disbelievers, and He helps in such ways that the Muslims could not have even imagined beforehand. Because all apparent and hidden means are within Allah’s power. He creates such circumstances that are beneficial for the Muslims and crush the disbelievers. In other words, just as Allah has informed that enemies of the Prophet have always arisen, He has also given the news that Allah does not hand over His Prophet and the believing Muslims to their enemies, but rather gives them timely guidance and then also helps them.
