Surah An-Noor (24) — Ayah 8

وَيَدْرَؤُا۟ عَنْهَا ٱلْعَذَابَ أَن تَشْهَدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَـٰدَٰتٍۭ بِٱللَّهِ ۙ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ ﴿8﴾
But it shall avert the punishment (of stoning to death) from her, if she bears witness four times by Allâh, that he (her husband) is telling a lie.
وَيَدْرَؤُا۟ wayadra-u But it would prevent
عَنْهَا ʿanhā from her
ٱلْعَذَابَ l-ʿadhāba the punishment
أَن an that
تَشْهَدَ tashhada she bears witness
أَرْبَعَ arbaʿa four
شَهَـٰدَٰتٍۭ shahādātin testimonies
بِٱللَّهِ ۙ bil-lahi by Allah
إِنَّهُۥ innahu that he
لَمِنَ lamina (is) surely of
ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ l-kādhibīna the liars
